Cherri is an Associate Vice President with Aon's Health & Benefits Practice in Edmonton. With over 20 years of group insurance experience, Cherri has extensive experience in all aspects of group benefit programs.Areas of SpecializationCherri uses her critical thinking skills to advise clients on all areas of employee benefits, including plan design, pricing, funding arrangements, marketing, communications and administration of group insurance programs. Her primary focus has been to provide strategic and operational leadership for the design, implementation, administration, and claim adjudication of group benefit programs with emphasis on cost effectiveness, sustainability, quality of services delivered, regulatory compliance and client service excellence.BackgroundPrior to joining Aon, Cherri developed her career over the course of three employers, holding leadership positions with each. She is a licensed life and accident & sickness insurance agent. Cherri earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from Dalhousie University and the CPHR designation with the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Association. Cherri is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP), the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) and the Canadian Benefits and Pension Institute (CPBI). In addition to speaking and moderating at industry conferences, she is a member of the IFEBP Legal/Legislative and Public Sector Committee, on the Plans & Trusts Magazine editorial advisory panel and is Past-President of the ISCEBS Alberta Chapter.
