As a child growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Ankita dreamed of being a storm chaser. However, windstorms and curly hair are incompatible, so instead she chose to enroll in the Management and Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania to study bioengineering and business.

After 7 years of biopharma-focused strategy consulting, Ankita has since held roles in small and medium sized companies and non-profits spanning commercial, market access, pricing, business development, corporate strategy, and strategic partnerships and experienced implementing Human Centered Design, Agile, and Scrum in the biopharma context.

Currently, she serves as the Head of Digital Health and Experience Innovation within the Rare Disease Unit of AstraZeneca where she creates a playful and safe space for teams with innovative ideas to test and learn and, one day, change the face of clinical care for rare disease patients.
