Always on Purpose

Everything is a connection, and in those connections, we have the chance to understand deeper truths: about ourselves, each other, and the world at large.

From my youngest years, I’ve chased truth. The impulse to discover what I ‘didn’t know about what I didn’t know’ - to dig deep into a subject and arrive at its foundation - drew me to math and music and by 9th grade I could teach both.

I attended the University of California at Berkeley to study mathematics. While I experienced an almost spiritual joy in the quest for definitive answers amongst abstractions, my personal life was characterized by self-doubt and anxiety. No one who met me in college would’ve suspected that under the cheery veneer of academic excellence hid a nervous perfectionist. Yet, despite the crippling inner opposition, my intuition provided the faith that I would eventually acquire the wisdom and tools to transcend my self-imposed limitations and that the struggle would all be worth it.
