Ambika Kapur is VP of Networking and Advanced Security (Business Group) at VMware. As the product leader at Fortune 50 companies and early-stage firms, she has successfully translated innovative thought leadership into industry-shaping products and market positions. Currently, she is bringing key VMware innovations in east-west security that are helping enterprises of all sizes achieve high levels of protection against advanced threats.

Before joining VMware, Ambika was a founding member and VP of Products at Bracket Computing (acquired by VMware in 2018). Prior to that she led product management for Cisco's Security Business Unit and IronPort Systems (acquired by Cisco for $830M). During this time, she was instrumental in building Cisco's security business as a best-of-breed product portfolio, moving key product lines into leadership positions in their respective Gartner MQs. She also launched the Bracket Computing Cell, which allowed customers to manage their infrastructure by business directives.

Ambika is often sought out for her extensive experience in network security/ransomware and has been quoted in publications such as ZDNet, SDxCentral, and TechTarget, to mention a few. In 2006, Info Security Products Guide honored her with the "Shaping Info Security 2006" Industry Award for her positive impact on advancing security technology.
